Tomorrow (March 12) is Lacombe's first Spring market at the LMC from 11-4. Do us a solid.....share any posts on the market and come down and support the local vendors. It's easy to support local producers in the Summer, when it's lovely weather, markets in every town and it's in front of you. Yet... outta sight outta mind in the 8 months of Winter!! We miss you and the interaction we share at markets, so we are hoping we see you tomorrow😊🌱

The greenhouse needed some attention before seeding began, and 5 hours later we were ready to rock!
We show you how we seed out the 4 varieties of beets for the 2022 year. 2 beds of each kind will be transplanted into the field late April. By seeding them now, they will be 5-6 weeks old by the time the ground is ready. This will reduce the time to our first harvest, and we will have 4 kinds of beets by May Long Weekend (the start of Summer market season).
The girls also got 800 baby beets transplanted into the last row of the greenhouse, which means we are now 95% planted out!!!
All in all, the last 5 days have transformed the greenhouse and really got us excited for this year. One step closer to having produce to sell.
