Fuelled by Kailyns homemade sourdough bread, scramble of eggs, green scallions and arugula, local applewood smoked peppered bacon.
Greens just belong in or on certain meals for us and scrambled eggs is one of them. Last second before the eggs are done, toss in a handful of your favourite greens and watch it just elevate the whole dish.
Nothing says spring is here quite like different greens and we love each and every one! Especially the new variety of red mustard we have been growing. The texture is light with slight peppery notes but quite mild. Expect an array of different greens from us this year such as, sorrel, arugula with red streaks, mixed pink and green spinach, lettuce, kale, rainbow swiss chard, beet, romaine and tatsoi.
Our flock of chickens are incredibly happy and loved birds. We love to utilize their eggs in everyday cooking especially breakfast meals and baking. They lay beautiful browns, whites, speckled, greens, pinks and blues with a gorgeous deep orange coloured yolk. Three of our four female ducks have been laying steady for us and hopefully we can offer duck eggs weekly.
